I installed a new Caltric stator and a new Caltric voltage regulator on my 1995 vt600 with a new lead acid battery. I was stranded many times due to the bike not starting, dead battery. The stator was showing continuity to ground on all 3 phases and putting out 14 volts ac at idle. So I installed the 29 year old original stator. 21Volts ac at idle and nothing to ground. The Caltric regular would not produce any dc voltage at all. I bought an Antigravity Lithium battery and a "Ricks" Lithium regulator. With the stock 29 year old stator, Rick's Lithium regulator and the Antigravity Lithium battery. The bike is charging at a steady 13.8 vdc. The bike runs much smoother and starts every time! Thanks Guys!
