Great look and sound

By   on  Verified Purchaser

I put these pipes on my 1997 Valkyrie GL1500C. They went on pretty easy the instructions were very clear and helpful. The pipes look great and sound amazing! Taking the stock pipes off and putting the Cobra exhaust on took a little over 2 hours by myself.

Beautiful

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Pipes are beautiful. Easy to install. Make sure to use original Valkyrie brass exhaust seals only or exhaust studs will be too short.

Parts Giant Honda Valkyrie Cobra Exhaust

By   on  Verified Purchaser

1) Cobra pipes on my Valkyrie sound amazing 2) Parts Giant is outstanding 3) This is the second exhaust system I ordered from PG, the first being for my Magna.

Nice but difficult mounting

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Nice pipes but the baffle screws either stripped out or twisted of trying to get them out, completely ruining one baffle having to drill another hole to remount it. A little disappointed in Cobras Quality!

Great sound

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Great sound. Not too loud with baffles (never ran without baffles). Have rode many 300+ mile days and could still hear at the end!

By   on

Mellow while riding this exhausts wakes up when wacking open the throttle. The sound is amazing. The fitment is perfect and the pipes are not cheap looking. I preferred to twist the throttle rather than use my horn to let people know I’m there - it’s that much fun :)

Questions & Answers

Ask Question

Will you have to adjust the Jets in the carb

It would be recommended to install a jet kit to accommodate the more freely flowing exhaust. That way you don't have the bike popping or backfiring.

Answer Question

thats for both pipes correct? with manifold pipes as well?

Yes, this would be a complete exhaust system.

Answer Question

how loud are these pipes with the baffles in? Is the sound similar to Cobra pipes on a honda shadow?

These pipes have a great growl to them coming from the Honda six cylinder engine. You should be more than happy with the sound with baffles installed. Most customers that acquire a used Honda with these pipes that do not have baffles call to order the replacement baffles as they have quite the bark without them installed. I would suggest just leaving them in place, they are deigned to produce peak power and output with them installed. Keep in mind a jet kit is required for an installation such as these pipes on a carbureted model.

Answer Question

Is removing baffles hard on the performance

The exhaust is designed to make peak power and performance with the baffles installed. As long as you jet the carburetors to match it should not suffer much. It would loose some bottom end without any backpressure.

By Staff
Answer Question

how do you remove the baffles

Each baffle is secured in position with a single screw which makes fitment and removal rather easy. Mind you, before installing these pipes, we highly recommend that you apply anti-seize to each baffle bolt so as to make it easy to remove them in the future! So long as you do that, it wouldn't be a problem to remove them later on should you decide these parts aren't loud enough.

Answer Question

I have a 2003 Valkyrie with a Rivco center stand. Any modifications necessary?

Yes, the exhaust system will fit - but you will need to make a permanent modifications to the Cobra exhaust to get it to work. On one of the left primary header pipes, you'll notice that the Rivco Valkyrie centerstand will come into contact with the header on a portion of the square tubing. You'll need to mark that spot carefully. Then, using a ball peen hammer with a black of wood, make a dent that's a about 3/8" on that spot. The Valkyrie Rivco centerstand still may touch, so make adjustments accordingly.

Answer Question

Are the baffles removable?

Yes, this exhaust system comes with removable baffles.

Answer Question

Will i have to rejet?

1999 honda Valkyrie

While it's not required to re-jet your bike, if you want to get the best possible throttle response and engine power output, you'd certainly want to adjust fueling to go along with the exhaust. Basically, any time you change the way air gets into or out of the engine, you should adjust carburetion in order to get the most bang for your buck. This is especially true with a full exhaust system. You can get a perfectly matched jet kit in the form of the Cobra Carburetor Jet Kit. With that, you'll have everything you need to re-jet your bike perfectly.

Answer Question
