A look that created a legacy for all others to follow. Vance & Hines revolutionized the exhaust marketplace in 1996 with the Longshots system and today the look is more popular than ever. Original Longshots feature 1-3/4" head pipes with 2-1/4" muffler bodies and full-length, 220 degree coverage head pipe heat shields that are plasma-arc cut from a full piece of tubing.

Questions & Answers

  • Vance & Hines only makes two styles that fit my Shadow Sabre; The Pro Pipe 2 into 1 and the Long Shots. Which of these two will give my bike the better sound?

    By: Donnie

As exhaust sound is a rather subjective matter, it's hard to say what would sound better for your particular tastes. The Longshots Original exhaust system, due to its two-into-two design and narrower mufflers, will provide a sharper, higher-pitched sound when compared to the Pro Pipe exhaust. This is due to the latter's larger muffler volume and its two-into-one designed. Whichever one of those sounds appeals to you, of course - is up to you!
