Questions & Answers
1998 vtr exhaust
Does the baffles in your exhaust come out ( Are they removable ) ?
By: Joe S.
No, these Yoshimura mufflers to fit the 1998 Super Hawk VTR1000F do not come with baffles. They're of a straight-through design and have no provisions to install removable baffles. If you're after an exhaust to fit your bike that comes with removable baffles, take a look at Yoshimura's RS-3C Street Series Dual Slip-On mufflers. They come with removable low-volume inserts that can quickly be installed/removed with simple hand tools.
Do ugetmore power
You can always expect to get more power and better throttle response with the installation of any Yoshimura exhaust when compared to stock. In order to do so, you'll need to adjust fuel delivery to go along with the new exhaust parts. We recommend, either - a Power Commander V, a Bazzaz Z-Fi or a Dynojet Carburetor Jet kit to be added to your machine whenever you change the exhaust system. Of course, if you're not comfortable with tuning your bike's fuel delivery, a competent dyno tuner is an invaluable asset when it comes to getting the most out of the engine.
