Does the main body diameter of the light have a flat spot so that the ligth will not rotate and fit into the stock H-D instrument bezel

Yes, there is indeed a flat spot on one side of the turn signal indicator light, just like the HD OEM part number 68021-92A that this unit is designed to replace.
