Hogtunes speakers will withstand heavy downpours whether the bike is parked or you're on the highway. If you're using a pressure washer to clean your machine, then you'd best avoid spraying the speakers directly as that will damage them. They're certainly able to stand up to years or riding in all weather, but a direct hit from a pressure washer may damage the speaker's surround, so be sure to wash them carefully!

You can certainly add a separate set of speakers to this kit, but as it's a two-channel affair, you'll need to add another amplifier to get power to those speakers. To do that, we recommend a Hogtunes 2 Channel Amplifier to go along with those bag speakers as it's the easiest way to get everything working together. It comes with the appropriate wire looms to work with the front speakers' amp so installation is simple and reliable.

So long as the Harley-Davidson aftermarket radio that you have plugs straight into the OEM wire harness, then you should have no problem integrated any Harley Hogtunes amplifier or speaker components. All of these systems are designed to work with the stock plugs to make installation as easy as possible.

The amp itself plugs directly into the OEM Harley radio's output and as such, does not require any kind of programming to function. Hogtunes components do not require a trip to the dealer in order to get them to work with the stock radio on your Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The included installation instructions do an excellent job of explaining how to wire up the entire kit in order for it to perform as advertised.

If you want the most output from the amp, it's recommended that you set it to +3. Setting it to zero would be standard output and of course, -3 would be the lowest power output setting.
