After about 15-20 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to start the included bolt into the threaded flange hole (on the left or shifter side floorboard), I decided to take off the old bolt still attached to my shifter and use it to try to start it through the threads. It took 5 or 6 attempts, but I got it started. I removed it and finally managed to get the (shorter and necessary) new bolt threaded into the floorboard. Someone did not get the threads in the floorboard flange very well tapped. Other than that fiasco, all went well and I have a nice sturdy set of floorboards.

Love these, highly recommend. The brake pedal side came really close to the exhaust so I put some washers between the frame and the mount, worked out fine. So much more comfortable than the stock pegs. You're not tensing your legs all the time, you can relax and ride. by the way I'm talking about a 2022 Honda Shadow Phantom 750. Also got the Cobra square sissy bar and tubular luggage rack. Lovin' those too. I am sold on anything Cobra makes. All were easy to install and look and function fantastic. Thanks Cobra!

I like the comfort of the floor boards over the pegs. It's better to sit at a 90 degree angle for the hip as per my doctor anyway. These are to replace my older ones that got bent by a car trying to pass me on my lane? We all know about those things that happen to the bike riders. But I will also want to let know of the shifter bolt they give you might be a little shorter than the original and should be installed from the bike side to the shifter because the bolt won't go past the hardware under the floorboard on the shifter side for the shifter. And it might be shorter than the original bolt, so don't forget the thread locker liquid for the bolt. I like that they have that on the bolts given with the hardware. Would also like to add that these start with a little rust after a year. Might want to keep the hardware a little greased under the floorboards. thanks

Been riding for over 50 years, had every bike you could think of. Had to downsize to a lighter bike due to bad knees. The boards are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Wow what a difference. What I found really nice was not having to extend my legs as much when I didn’t want to, plenty of board space to let the feet come back almost to a mid control position and offer that perfect sweet spot to keep the blood flowing and legs from cramping up on those long rides yet allows you to really extend and get that stretch too. These boards are really nice. Well made and fit right on. I suppose if I had done it once or twice I could do it in maybe 5-10 min per side. Chasing the tools, getting the chair out, etc. it took about 15-20 per side. I had to muscle with the brake pedal hole for a couple of minutes to line it up with the new bolt but that was the most effort other that unpacking the bubble wrap. Great product, very pleased. A+++

Parts Giant: A+, very fast shipping. Cobra: B-. I purchased these for my 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit. Pros: The floorboards look great, and my ride is much more comfortable now. Cons: You must use your existing bolts to attach them, and there is much less threading holding the floorboards to the bike frame because you must use the included spacers (I'm hoping the floorboards don't fall off). I wish Cobra had included longer bolts in this package rather than using the stock bolts. That being said, these are a great accessory to add to your motorcycle.

I have a 2016 Honda Aero and purchased Cobra Floorboards. Both clutch and brake side are too close to the shifter peg and rear brake pedal. What is a cure if no adjusters are available?
Cobra floorboards are all fixed in position. You may want to adjust your shift lever where it is splined to the shift shaft and the brake arm can likely be adjusted by adjusting the pushrod for the master cylinder or linkage.

Cobra currently only offers the passenger boards for the 2006 Kawasaki VN1600D Vulcan 1600 Nomad as it came stock with driver floorboards.

I have a 2001 Suzuki VL800 Volusia that these fit but I'm looking for a set of floorboards that I can adjust the foot angle up or down and the height up or down.
These Cobra Floorboards are non-adjustable. They are solid mounted to the frame with the provided brackets. They will pivot up if they were to make contact with the ground while leaned over in a turn, but cannot be adjusted for height or angle. Unfortunately, Cobra does not produce any adjustable floorboards for the 2001 Suzuki VL800 Volusia 800 at this time.

You can install these floorboards on any machine listed in our fit guide without issue. All Cobra floorboards are designed to bolt in place of the stock foot controls and come with everything you need for fitting them to your machine without making any permanent modifications to your bike. My left stock peg bracket has a docking place for shift lever to mount into.
There's a provision in the floorboard kit to accommodate the OEM shift lever on the Shadow Aero as these kits are specifically designed to work with the stock foot controls. A bolt and washer is included to facilitate the installation of the shift lever with ease. Considering your bike's foot controls are stock, you should have no problem fitting these floorboards to your bike.

Yes, all Cobra Driver Floorboards come with the requisite mounting hardware along with easy-to-understand installation instructions. There's no need to buy any additional parts to fit these floorboards to your bike's stock driver foot controls. As far as fitting a single kit to the two different machines you have, the mounting scheme for each bike is different. Consequently, you'd have to purchase both, a Honda Shadow ACE Tourer floorboard kit and a Honda Valkyrie floorboard kit in order to fit both of those bikes with Cobra floorboards. One kit cannot be interchanged between the two bikes.

If you were to choose the 2003 Honda VT1100C Shadow 1100 Spirit from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct driver floorboards to fit that machine. All required installation hardware is included in the kit along with a set of easy-to-follow instructions. You will, however, need to re-use some of the OEM foot control components in order to complete the installation. So long as you have that, with the kit - you'll have everything you need to add a really nice set of floorboards to your bike.

Cobra no longer produces driver floorboards for the 2009 M109R. But don't worry! If you were to order a set of Kuryakyn Footpeg Adapters for the driver position, you could add a pair of Kuryakyn Premium Mini Boards to fit your bike. Plus, with those boards, you'd be able to angle them specifically for your needs since the spline shaft allows you to tilt the boards for a perfect fit.

If you're referring to the Cobra Drag Pipes 6-into-6 Full Exhaust System for the Honda Valkyrie, yes - these floorboards will indeed fit without issue. Cobra has always done an excellent job of making sure their floorboards work with their Honda Valkyrie exhausts.

In the case of 2001 Shadow 750 ACE floorboards, the kit comes with left and right floorboard assemblies and the bolts for attaching it. You are to re-use the OEM brake and shift levers, so you won't have to change either of those. Though, one thing you will want to be careful with is how both of those levers are adjusted. If they're still in the stock position, you should be all set. If you've ever adjusted their positions for any reason, you will need to check to be sure of proper clearance, but you won't have to replace them.

Unfortunately, Cobra does not produce any floorboards to fit Honda Gold Wing models. We do have some nice Gold Wing driver floorboards in the form of Parts Unlimited Engine Guard Cruise Boards. Those boards will bolt straight up to 1991 through 1997 model year Honda Gold Wing Interstate models with ease.
