Pipes seem really well made, good quality. I left the baffles in because I ride to work through a residential neighborhood and didn't wanna be "that guy." I couldn't be happier with the sound. My bike doesn't sound like a sewing machine anymore. Louder and deeper tone than stock. You will get some deceleration pops but not bad. Also an occasional pop when letting off the throttle to shift. I like it, some don't. Has a meaner sound now. If you wanna hear it without baffles then try it that way first. I didn't and now can't get the baffles out for fear of causing irreparable damage. But I'm satisfied the way they are with baffles.

These pipes are heavy feeling by quality, the long shots I had on where lighter and tin feeling the cobra's weren't and sound 10 times better nice deep tone that I was looking for.

Great exhaust, sounds awesome and pretty easy to install. Only issue is 2 of the 6 heat shield metal clamps are not large enough. All 6 provided are the same size, but the last (furthest to bike rear) slot on each heat shield doesn't have the same play as the first 2, so the metal clamp can't be connected. Confirm it fits around your pipes first before installing.

Fit perfect on my 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C90T, the pipe covers were a little tricky putting on but they will got on. Very nice sounding pipes compared to the stock pipes that came on bike, it increased horse power and torque also. What a difference!

Excellent product. I bought these with the intention of removing the baffle for a louder rumble than my stock pipes. After taking it out of the box and seeing some differences I decided to see what they sounded like untouched. They are definitely a nice loud rumble WITH the baffle in tact.

I called a bike shop near me and they told me to use Cobra. I'd never heard of them. So I took up their recommendation. Well, I couldn't be much happier and the installation was fairly easy. Now the bike is really only loud when I romp on it, as opposed to the previous set of pipes, which seemed just harsh and loud all the time. And it has this sweet low rumble at idle, but when I get on it, this little 1340 sounds throaty and crisp. I'm super impressed. I'm very happy!

They were a slight pain in the butt to install on my bike, but that is simply because mechanics is not my thing. What I thought would be a 30-60 minute job turned into 4 hours. That just tells you how good I am at figuring things out lol. The pipes are beautiful, and smaller than the stock exhaust I had on my Kawasaki Vulcan. Originally I was going to rip out the baffle of the Cobra pipes but after trying it out before doing that, it's a lot louder than the stock exhaust I had and I love it, no need to remove the baffle at all! P.S. It might be best if you follow the directions and prepare to take your foot rest/peg whatever you have off when installing these. I had a hard time getting the heat shield attached without removing my foot rest. I had to be a man and toss out the directions for a moment and attached the heat shield to my front/bottom pipe before installing in order to get it to fit. Again this was a me problem, not a design problem. Overall I am very happy with the purchase!

Wow a lot louder than I expected and I left the baffling in. They fit perfectly and look awesome. Was kind of a hard time putting the heat shield in place but worked.

Great looking pipes, nice chrome, pretty easy to install. The one knock I would put on them and this is personal preference; they are a little more obnoxious than I expected. Certainly can rub neighbors the wrong way.

The best word that I can say is Awesome! Once I out the Cobras on, my bike, it sounds much louder...like I am heard "down the block" loud. I even get more power and torc at the lower gears. I recommend the pipes. You will get the loud big boy pipe sound and more power.

I put these on my bike and the result is awesome! The bike is much louder with a big boy rumble. The pipes also gave me more power and torc in the lower gears. I added an EFI controller. If you are looking for a much louder sound, these are for you. I will definitely recommend these.

Install went pretty well, they recommend removing the floorboard, but honestly there's more to that than removing and installing the exhaust, they should have specified the different size clamps, I had to take the first pipe off and redo, that's the only reason the overall scored 4 not 5 stars. Volume is loud, loving it on my 2017 Vulcan Classic. Didn't cause any tuning issues, overall solid product, instructions are good but could use a couple tweaks.

I have a '15 Yam Raider S 1900. The ECU has been re-tuned by Ivan’s Performance Products, the airflow increased with a K&N air filter. Before Cobra pipes, I had removed the gigantic tuba OEM pipes baffling with a 4in hole saw (kicking effort to remove). I then placed 2.5 into 4in stainless turbo tips into the end of pipes to softly silence the beast. The bike ran very well. BUT, after taking advice, I replaced the tuba pipes set-up & replaced with COBRA’s drag pipes. Holy cow what a diff...the bike is sick fast off the line and in the mid-upper bandwidths as well. All in all, this is the best transaction I have made all year and all of last year. PartsGiant rocks...and of course likewise with time proven COBRA!

Though more costly than other options, these pipes are well worth the investment. The sound is exactly what I wanted, the install was very easy (30 minutes), and they look great on my ‘06 VT1100C. Highly recommended.

Look really good, had 1 tiny ding in one heat shield, but I didn't feel that was worth hassling over. They look great and sound pretty good, with baffles in. I may experiment with that later.

This exhaust sounds amazing. Deep and throaty like a cruiser should sound. They are loud, but not annoyingly loud in my opinion. Super easy installation, took me about 20-30 minutes in the backyard. I was on the fence about buying this, but after messing with my stock exhaust numerous times and not getting the sound I was looking for, finally bit the bullet and very happy that I did. Bought the bike with a Cobra slip on muffler but decided to go with this and it is GREAT! Easy installation, noticeable power, and the sound is amazing! A lot deeper and better sound than the Cobra slip on muffler.

I have a Honda Shadow Aero 750cc. The stock pipes were very quite. The Cobra Dragster exhaust was easy to install and the bike sounds amazing. Great product for the price.

Installation was a breeze. Super loud could not imagine what it would sound like with the baffles out. Wish they had the Jet kit in stock. Note from staff: Cobra is discontinuing some jet kits. Dynojet has the exact same kit available for most bikes.

Bought this for my husband for his 2004 yahama v star 1100 custom, and let me just say ....WOW... Do these pipes utilize the oem mounting brackets or would I have to purchase separately

Without knowing what machine you're working on, I can't say for sure. I can tell you that some of these kids do indeed re-use some of the OEM exhaust mounting hardware. If any additional, non-OEM parts are required, they are included in the box with the exhaust. Basically, so long as you have the stock exhaust on your machine, then there's no need to buy any additional mounting hardware to make this fit your bike.

So long as the OEM gaskets are in good shape, then you probably won't need a new set when installing this exhaust. It's not uncommon for riders to re-use those since they're really well made, especially the ones that come on Hondas.

Everything on this bike is stock.

It would be recommended to install a fuel tuner when installing a fuel exhaust system on your bike. I suggest searching our site for Dynojet Power Commander FC Fuel Controller. That would be a great addition to your bike with a full exhaust system.

Yes, if you were to choose the XVS1300A V-Star 1300 Cobra Dragster exhaust from our fit guide, you'd get the pipes you need. As far as jetting, you're probably pretty close to ideal if your bike's already been set up for the 2-into-1 exhaust. Just a little tweaking and you should be good to go!

In the case of the 2012 Yamaha V-Star 950 Dragster exhaust, yes - there is an oxygen sensor port included with the exhaust. This holds true for all machines equipped with an OEM O2 sensor(s) - Cobra includes a provision for fitting those sensors. As far as the Fi2000R, while it's not required, if you want to get the most power and best possible throttle response, we strongly recommend the installation of a fuel controller, and especially the Fi2000R, so as to get the best performance out of your bike's engine.

I have a 03' vtx1800s, will I need a power commander or can I just install these and ride?

Yes, any time you change the way air gets into or out of, the motor, you'll want to adjust fueling appropriately to maximize any performance gains available from the new setup. Especially if you're going from a stock exhaust to a full system such as the Cobra Dragsters. A Power Commander is certainly one option, though we prefer the Cobra Fi2000R fuel controller as it's developed by the same company that designed the exhaust system for your bike. It's easy to configure with only three knobs of adjustment on the device, and the included instructions explain clearly how to set up the unit for your bike. There's no need to visit a dyno tuner or otherwise, pay a technician to get your bike fueled correctly. It is for these reasons, we always recommend an Fi2000R with any Cobra exhaust system.

If your bike is completely stock as far as fuel delivery is concerned, then yes - you'll need to add a fuel controller of some sort. We recommend a Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner for the Vulcan Classic LT. It's simple to install and easy to adjust. The included instructions have a range of settings listed making setup a snap as there are only three dials to adjust. With that, you can have your bike ready to go with the best possible throttle response and engine performance without needing a trip to the dyno.

Anytime you swap a complete exhaust system on a fuel injected motorcycle, it is highly recommended to install a fuel tuner. Especially if you have plans to also modify the intake and or cams and pistons.

Can you use the cobra quiet baffles on these

Cobra currently does not offer a set of quiet baffles for the Dragster line of exhaust system. This system is inherently loud by design. If you wanted to quite a set down, there is a baffle company Big City Thunder out of North Carolina that can build custom baffles for exhaust that may not offer a replacement at this time. I would suggest reaching out to them directly if you wanted a custom set of quiet baffles for this system.

The pipes are designed to make the most power and performance with the baffles installed. You would loose some bottom end pull with the baffles completely removed. As long as you jet or have it tuned accordingly, it should be a non-issue.

How do I replace my stock exhaust pipes with cobra pipes on a 2012 Yamaha raider scl

Cobra offers three different exhausts to fit your particular machine in the form of the Cobra Dragster Exhaust System, the Cobra Speedster Slashdown Exhaust System, and the Cobra Speedster Swept Exhaust System. All of those exhausts completely replace the stock exhaust system on the Raider SCL. Basically, all you have to do is unbolt the stock system, and put the Cobra exhaust in its place. If you're comfortable with, for example, doing an oil change, the exhaust system won't be very difficult at all. The included instructions for all exhausts we sell, and especially those form Cobra, do an excellent job of explaining the whole process, step-by-step. All you need is a set of metric hand tools and an evening in the garage to get it all sorted out. With the Raider SCL exhaust, there are no special tools required to swap out the pipes on your bike.

If your bike is completely stock as far as fuel delivery is concerned, then yes - you'll need to add a fuel controller of some sort. A Power Commander is one option, but for the sake of simplicity (and expense since you needn't visit a dyno tuner), we recommend a Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner for the Honda Shadow Aero. It's simple to install and easy to adjust. The included instructions have a range of settings listed making setup a snap as there are only three dials to adjust. With that, you can have your bike ready to go with the best possible throttle response and engine performance without needing a trip to the dyno.

When I order the dragsters for my VTX do I also need to get a new air intake system?

No, the intake and exhaust side of the bike are completely separate, and you don't need to order both at the same time. You will, however, want to order a Cobra Jet Kit (if it's a VTX1300 you have) or a Cobra Fi2000R fuel controller if you have a VTX1800, in order to get the most power output and best possible throttle response from your engine. That is to say, if you're going from a stock exhaust to a full system - you will need to adjust fuel delivery in order to get the most out of your new exhaust. Both, the jet kit and fuel controller come with simple-to-follow instructions that'll get you set up as required for your specific tuning needs. Best of all, you won't even need to make a tripe to the dyno to get going!

I have an 07 Honda VTX 1800 R with 2 O2 sensors hanging out.

In the case of the 2007 Honda VTX1800R, you'll need to add a Cobra O2 Sensor Eliminator to your order to fit this exhaust to your machine. This is due to the fact that Cobra Dragster exhausts for the VTX1800 models are equipped with an oxygen sensor port. So long as you add that to your order, you'll have everything you need to fit this exhaust to your bike.

Hello I have a 2012 Vulcan 900 thinking of doing some upgrades was wondering the cobra dragster exhaust how much louder it would be than stock if it will increase power and throttle response . what type of baffles are included and how much louder it would be with them removed and would that increase power more? You can expect this exhaust to be significantly louder than the stock exhaust on your bike. As a general rule, Drag Pipes are some of the loudest pipes on the market, for any machine you choose. Cobra includes a set of their standard baffles with this exhaust. Removing them is a simple affair, just a single bolt holds each baffle in place. And of course, pulling them out will make them louder but it really doesn't make much difference in terms of performance. What those exact numbers are, I can't say since Cobra doesn't provide sound level or power output data with any of the pipes they build. As far as power is concerned, when properly tuned, yes - you can certainly expect greater engine power and improved throttle response. For Cobra exhausts, we recommend the Cobra Fi2000R fuel controller as it's developed specifically to work with all Cobra exhaust and intake products.

Does the inner pipe go from 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 ? Or what is the size or sixes of the inner pipe?

The overall diameter of the Drag Pipes from is the same from the headers all the way through to the mufflers. Obviously, the mufflers will have a smaller inner diameter with the baffles installed. Those baffles are easily removable. For Harley-Davidson applications, these pipes have a 1-3/4" diameter from tip to tail. The heat shields that go over the actual pipes are a little wider.

The exhaust's finish, on the other hand, is covered by a manufacturer's lifetime warranty against discoloration. Will these bolt on and able to ride on my Vulcan or will I need to make adjustments to the fuel injection

Upon the installation of a full exhaust system (when going from a completely stock configuration, at least), we always recommend that you adjust fuel mapping in order to get the most out of the new exhaust system. The Kawasaki Vulcan's OEM ECU just isn't able to compensate for the massive change. Consequently, you'll find the bike stutters at a steady throttle and maybe even falls flat when you make even a slight change in throttle position. These traits are particularly annoying, and you're certainly not getting all the added power that's avail with the new system. To mitigate all of this, we highly recommend a Cobra Fi2000R Fuel Controller. The unit is very easy to install and configure. Plus, the included instructions explain exactly how to set up the device for your specific needs (there are only three adjustment knobs on it, similar to a carburetor). With that unit, you can expect more power from the engine and excellent throttle response in all riding situations.
