Struggled with a couple of the Chinese knockoff true duals but the fit was never right. Got these S&S headers and am much happier. Preferred the cross over under the bike rather than the exit from the back cylinder to the left muffler. Using 18mm wide band O2 sensors with a ThunderMax tuner works perfect with no interference. Only change that I made was adding 1/4" spacers between the right floorboard and the frame to provide clearance for the front pipe. Great product, improved sound and performance on my 2008 Ultra Classic!

Very pleased with the product quality in both fitment and finish. Header pipes are solid with clean welds, the chrome heat shields are excellent and quite thicker than the stock HD heat shields. Installation on the '16 Road King went without a hitch, just make sure you mock up the fitment positions and watch a few you tube installation vids. One hint is loosen or remove the right side upper bag guard, it helps when levering the header portion into place. The "P" clamp is a little wonky getting it spread enough to go over the O2 bung but other than that installation was straight forward. The overall sound is much better, being deeper and throatier than stock. Excellent investment to "open up" the fuel & exhaust when also adding an open air filter, Fuelpak3 and performance exhaust cans (Rhineharts).

Great sound, looks, performance, and heat reduction

I decided to swapped out my factory head pipe in an effort to reduce heat that is inherent in some of the pre 2009 models . This S&S pipe looks and sounds great. I can definitely notice the heat issues being greatly reduced. I can't give any installation advice as my local bike mechanic put these on, but didn't hear any complaints. The boost in performance is definitely noticable. I thought I might lose ground clearance but noticed no difference from the stock pipe.

I think these pipes are some of the nicest on the market. I was told no one makes a 2 into 1into 2 header for my '03 Road King. Only complaint: the clamps that hold on The shielding are kind of flimsy. It's a shame a couple of 50 Cent clamps prevent this from getting a five star rating across the board.

What mufflers work? You provided two different answers.

You provided two different answers as to what mufflers will fit. In one you said any that bolt up to OEM exaust. In another you state that any for a 2017 or newer M8 will not...so which is it? I have a 2018 Road Glide Special with CFR mufflers and OEM headers.....will this work or not? Many people I am sure are confused by this.
S&S currently only produces these header pipes to accept 1995-2016 style mufflers. If you have a 2017-2019 M8 touring model you must use older style 1995-2016 slip-ons with this header. The current slip ons you have that fit factory M8 headers will not work with any headpipes offered from S&S at this time. This is a retrofit style with matching 1-3/4" headers left to right. This is to provide more options for mufflers as there are currently more muffler designs for the 1995-2016 than are offered for 2017-2019 Touring at this time. If you wish to retain your CFR mufflers for a 2017-2019 Touring I would suggest looking at the Cobra Pro Chamber Head Pipes or Vance & Hines Power Duals Head Pipes both accept M8 style aftermarket slip-ons. The Bassani pipes we have as well are a retrofit style to the older 1995-2016 pipe.

Everything needed to install these pipes on the model selected at checkout will be included with this pipes. Keep in mind if purchasing for newer 2017-2019 Harley-Davidson touring models, you must use 1995-2016 Slip-ons. They are not compatible with Stock or aftermarket M8 Slip-ons.

Yes, there is indeed a connection between the front and rear headers before the front cylinder's pipe crosses under the frame to the left side. In this way, you get the looks of a true dual exhaust with the performance near that of a two-into-one design!
Will I have to remap after the install of these headers

Yes, it's always recommend that your bike be remapped upon the installation of any header kit as the difference between stock exhaust flow and the new headers is rather significant. if your bike is fuel-injected, we recommend a Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner for the task. It's simple to install and can be adjusted in minutes via one of the three tuning knobs located on the device. It's akin to setting up a carburetor in that you have a low, mid and high adjustment. Plus, the included instructions explain exactly how to configure the tuner based upon how your bike reacts to the new exhaust installation.
I am wanting to order a set for a 2002 Ultra Classic FLHTCUI, and am going to install a Power Commander V, with the Auto Tune, which uses the O2 sensors for fuel mixture reading.....do these come with the bungs and plugs for applications that do not require O2 sensors, or no bungs for the models of motorcycle years that do not have O2 sensors?
S&S' Power Tune headers for the FLHTCUI come equipped with oxygen sensor ports. And, should you choose not to run them on your machine, there's also a set of plugs included in the box. In this way, you've got everything you need to replace the headers on your bike with no need to purchase any additional equipment to finish the job.
Will these fit my 2016 H-D ultra limited (FLHTK) ?

Yes, we do indeed have S&S Power Tune Dual header pipes available to fit the 2016 FLHTK Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Simply choose your machine from our fit guide, and we'll get the correct unit on its way to you, quickly. The nice thing about S&S Power Tune dual header exhausts is that they'll bolt up to pretty much any aftermarket Harley-Davidson slip-on mufflers you can find that fit the OEM headers. They give you quite the variety from which to choose from when tricking out your bike!
I have 3" or 3-1/2" Rhine Hart mufflers will they fit?

I have
S&S Harley-Davidson headers are designed to work with any aftermarket Harley slip-on exhaust that fits the OEM headers. That is to say, if the Rhinehart mufflers you have fit the stock headers, they'll also bolt straight onto the S&S headers. This is due to the fact that the S&S headers have the same outlet diameter and are positioned in the same sport as the stock headers.
There are no exhaust gaskets included with any of the exhausts that we sell. Provided the OEM exhaust port gaskets are in good condition, you can certainly re-use those. Otherwise, we do have a wide variety of exhaust port gaskets available in our store.
Can I used the mufflers that I already have on the bike?

S&S headers are compatible with all slip-on mufflers that fit the stock headers. Provided the mufflers you have on your bike fit the stock headers, you should have no problem mounting them to these S&S Power Tune Duals headers.
