So great. Looks great sounds great. This, an open air box and an EJK made the bike way stronger.

Awesome sounding pipe, but debating getting the quiet insert, as it is a little loud for some of the rides and locations I do. In short, it's a great buy, but you will have to re-jet as with most upgrades. My bike required main & pilot swap and also put in a fuel screw.

If your bike has the stock jetting on it, then yes, we always recommend that fuel delivery be adjusted when installing a new exhaust system. To do that, a Dynojet carburetor jet kit will do the trick. It comes with all the required jets and needles along with a good set of instructions that'll explain exactly how to install and configure each component. As far as loudness, yes the PowerCore 4 is going to be louder than OEM muffler fitted to the CRF230F, though, with the included USFS spark arrestor, it won't be too loud for riding on fenderal land. If you want a performance exhaust that isn't as loud, we recommend the FMF Q4 slip-on exhaust. It'll flow more air than stock, and while louder than the OEM muffler, it's not nearly as loud as the PowerCore 4 variant. It too, comes with a USFS-approved spark arrestor insert.

Unfortunately, FMF doesn't produce any exhaust components for the 2005 Sportsman 500. I did check with all of our suppliers, but only one builds an exhaust for that machine. It's the MudSlinger Slip-On Exhaust from SuperTrapp. The exhaust comes with everything you need to fit your machine and even has a USFS-approved spark arrestor so you can go riding on public trails.

FMF's PowerCore 4 Slip-On mufflers are designed to fit the stock header on any machine you select from our fit guide. They also fit FMF headers, so if you were to upgrade to an FMF header in the future, you won't need to purchase any additional FMF exhaust parts. As far as jetting goes, we highly recommend that you re-just your bike with either, an FMF jet kit or a Dynojet jet kit in order to be sure you have everything you need to get the most out of your new FMF exhaust configuration. This goes for both, the slip-on muffler as well as the full exhaust system. We always recommend re-jetting any carbureted machine upon changing the way air gets into, or out of the engine. This way, there are no flat spots in throttle response and power output potential is maximized.
By Brandon
The exhaust is merely one components that's required to make your bike faster. Proper fuel delivery via a jet kit (for carbureted bikes) or fuel tuner (for FI machines) and gearing matched to your needs also critical components to getting everything just right. If you're looking for faster acceleration, the muffler certainly won't hurt on that front as it'll allow the engine to breathe a little more freely and also, may shave a few pounds off your bike. Both benefits aid in increasing speed off the corner.

The YZ450F Yamaha PowerCore 4 will certainly be a lot louder than stock, but maybe a little too loud for your tastes. For your particular needs, we'd recommend a YZ450F FMF Q4 slip-on muffler instead. It flows more exhaust gases than stock for more power gains, but the muffler's internal configuration isn't a straight-through design, so it's not terribly loud. Plus, it comes with a USFS-approved spark arrestor that's removable - so you can ride it on public lands without the worry of getting a ticket. Of course, since you're make a big adjustment where exhaust flow is concerned, we highly recommend that you adjust fuel delivery as well. In particular, a Dynojet Stage 1 YZ450F jet kit would be an excellent match. It comes with all required and the included instructions do an excellent job of explaining how to get everything jetted correctly from the off. In this way, you can be assured of no flat spots in throttle response and the best possible engine power output from the new Yamaha dirtbike exhaust.

I have a full Dr.D exhaust system that I want to replace just the slip-on with this slip-on. Will the slip-on fit directly onto the Dr.D header AND will I need to re-jet my carb?
Unfortunately, FMF mufflers are designed only to fit the OEM header or an FMF header. They won't fit any Dr. D exhaust components. FMF mufflers come with a spacer that's designed to fit the stock header and, if you were to upgrade to an FMF header later on, that spacer is to be removed in order to accommodate the larger pipe diameter. You won't be able to fit the FMF muffler to your machine without fitting the stock header or, upgrading to an FMF unit. In the instance you wanted to go all-out and upgrade the header as well, the jetting would probably be close, provided you already changed it to work with the Dr. D setup. Still, without having the machine here to examine, it's impossible to say for sure what changes, if any - would be required in order to properly deliver fuel with the new FMF exhaust system.

In order to get the most out of this, or any other exhaust we sell, we recommend that you do indeed re-jet your carburetor. In fact, FMF has developed a range of jet kits to go along with their exhausts. In this way, you can be assured to get the best possible throttle response and engine power output along with the new muffler. We prefer the FMF jet kits for FMF mufflers since they're already tailored to work with their exhausts, but for some machines, they don't have 'em. In the instance you're unable to find a jet kit from FMF to fit your bike, a stage 1 jet kit from Dynojet will also do the trick.
By Hooter
Yes, absolutely - simply choose the 2002 Honda TRX400EX Sportrax 400EX from our fit guide, and you'll get the correct unit to bolt up to the OEM header on your machine. With regard to sound output - FMF mufflers are typically louder than new stock mufflers. Given the age of your machine and if you haven't re-packed the muffler, it'll probably be just as loud, or slightly louder than the stock exhaust. Should you choose to use the USFS-approved spark arrestor insert that's included in the kit, most likely, the exhaust won't be much louder than stock.

Yes, we do have an FMF PowerCore 4 slip-on exhaust that will fit the 2005 Kawasaki KX125L. Simply choose your machine from our fit guide to get the proper muffler for the KX125L.

So long as you have the original header, or an FMF header on the machine you select from our fit guide, you won't have any problems bolting this, or any other FMF muffler we sell onto your machine. In just about every case, there's no permanent modifications required to complete the job. Just pull the stock muffler off your bike, bolt the FMF unit on and you're ready to ride! FMF slip-on mufflers are designed to fit machines with the stock, or an FMF header on them. Each muffler comes with the appropriate slip joint to work in both cases.
By sam
That's correct - all FMF PowerCore 4 slip-on mufflers for the Honda CRF150F are designed to fit onto the stock header for that bike. Yes, the FMF PowerCore 4 slip-on muffler will fit the 2017 Honda TRX250X.

I want a full fmf exhaust for my 2007 crf150f but fmf doesn't make a full exhaust package for the bike, but they do for crf150r.
The CRF150R and CRF150F headers are not interchangeable, so swapping them around will not work for your particular needs. We do have a full exhaust system for your bike in the form of the Pro Circuit T-4 Full Exhaust System. With that, however, you won't be able to fit your FMF muffler to the Pro Circuit exhaust's header pipe. Still, as it does have a USFS-approved spark arrestor in the muffler, you'll be able to ride the bike on public trails.
By justin
If you were to remove the included USFS-approved spark arrestor, in most cases, the exhaust would be louder than the stock exhaust on your machine. If you were to use that same spark arrestor, the exhaust would be within USFS guidelines for use on federal lands and its loudness would be similar to that of a stock machine that comes with a spark arrestor already installed in the exhaust from the factory. There's also a 96 dB FMF exhaust quiet insert that you may purchase if you wish to run the exhaust as free-flowing as possible at tracks where sound is a concern.
By Jake
If you have a 2004 model year Honda CRF150F with an OEM or FMF header on it, you should have no problem fitting this slip-on muffler to your machine. Simply choose your make, year and model from the drop down menu that's to the right of the main picture and we'll get the correct muffler on its way to you.
By Austdog31
Typically, FMF mufflers and exhausts relay on thermal expansion at each slip-fit joint to prevent exhaust gases from leaking out of the system. Often, depending on what machine it is that you have - a gasket is included to fit the muffler to the stock header thereby preventing any leakage.
By Liam
While you can most likely get away with installing this exhaust without modifying your bike's fueling, it's always best to adjust the jetting any time you change the CRF230L exhaust, intake - or any other part of the bike that has an effect on the way air gets in or out of the engine. To that end, we have the perfect jet kit to go along with your CRF230L, check out the Moose Carburetor Jet Kit. With that, you'll have all of the components required to get the best possible engine output and throttle response.
By Ben Napier
FMF's PowerCore 4 Slip-on will increase power slightly through the entire range. This pipe is designed as a freer flowing system compared to stock, which promotes more wide open throttle power versus bottom end torque. The best way to achieve more low end torque would be in a new sprocket gearing. On your bike, stock gearing is 15-48 for US models. If you were to go up teeth in the rear, the next size we have is 55 teeth, this will greatly increase your bottom end torque, and make the motorcycle more dirt oriented vs the street gearing it comes with.
By jim
No, there's no need to buy any additional parts in order to fit this exhaust on your machine. Every FMF slip-on muffler includes an adapter to fit to the OEM exhaust or, it'll bolt straight up to any FMF header.
