Questions & Answers

Drag Specialties' Solid-State Regulators are covered by a one year manufacturer's warranty. If, at any time during that period you have a problem with the unit, just give us a call and we'll get you sorted out.
How can I check my old voltage regulator to see if it is good or bad
One of the easiest ways to test your regulator/rectifier is to check the voltage at your battery terminals with the bike running. Simply start up the bike, rev it up, and the voltage should go up to 13.5-14.5 VDC. If you find that battery voltage is above or below that range by a few tenths, the regulator isn't working correctly. Your bike's service manual will also give you an exact test method as well as the exact acceptable voltage output ranges. If you don't have a service manual for your machine, we do have a variety of Clymer Shop Manuals on our website to help you determine how well your bike's charging system is work.
