Vent line attachment is angled more forward than stock, oil filler neck is more shallow than stock. Other than that a perfect replacement for '84 XLS Roadster.

The listing says this tank replaces OEM Part #62475-83 but the Parts Catalog for a 1991/1992 XLH 883 says the part is #62472-93A. Why are the numbers different?

It may be that the catalog you're looking at has old part numbers that have since been superseded to the updated number of 62475-83. The current OEM parts diagram shows for the 1991/1992 XLH883 shows the updated part number.
