Easy install. Sounds pretty good for a 50 state CARB compliant exhaust. They were out of black so went with dark chrome which worked out great. They look and sound great. Definitely not too loud but big difference over factory exhaust. If you want loud then remove baffles. Always used Vance and Hines and never disappointed.

Wow! I purchased this for my wife's Harley Street 500 and had very low expectations that these would solve my issue. She wanted her bike to sound like a Harley should. After a very easy 20-30 minute install where I directed my teenage son and he did it all, I brought the wife out and we fired it up. Wow! Never thought that little 500 would sound that good. Nice low rumble you can feel in your chest while standing next to it. She drove it down our lane way and it sounded great!

Generally do not write reviews, but had to here. After spending way more time than I should have looking at slip-on mufflers, I settled on the V&H Hi-Output and could not be happier with my choice. Exhaust went on my 2014 Ultra Rushmore w/o any surprises. Overall fit and finish of the slip-ons was excellent. The sound of these is like a V-8 muscle car with a nice deep rumble, not just loud and obnoxious. Next up, a tune.

Regarding your question on our website about the Vance & Hines Hi-Output Dual Slip-On Exhaust; "Do you have to remap with these slip on's" If you're only installing the slip-ons and you do not have an aftermarket air cleaner on your machine, then there's usually no need to adjust fuel delivery. The OEM ECU can typically handle the changes in fuel requirements when going from a completely stock configuration to slip-on mufflers only. If you go beyond that level of tuning, then adjusting fuel delivery is a must with a device such as a Vance & Hines FP3 fuel controller or Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner. In rare cases, a bike with only slip-ons added may require fuel tuning, but that only comes up if you ride at high altitudes (eg. above 4,000 feet) and/or the fuel you're using isn't of the greatest quality. Otherwise, you shouldn't need to do much of anything but add these mufflers to your bike and hit the road!
