Upgraded my wife's bike 3 years ago, same cams, wish they had this "kit" then, if they did...I missed it. Takes the guess work out of what you are going to need(I knew this time what I would need, cause what I went through before). Did have to order the camshaft sprocket "shim" set to fine tune the chain alinement. Just fired it up...sounds good! Now have to wait for Upstate NY snow to melt & warm up a little(quit a little) so I can take her for a test run. Thanks

It really depends on experience and the tools you have. A competent tech with the right tools could do the job before lunchtime. Most people familiar with engines could do it in a day, again - with the right tools. As for bigger heads, bigger heads will certainly allow for greater airflow which, in turn, permits the addition of more fuel and more fuel = more power. So yeah, if you're going all-out, heads a would certainly be a great option. You've got the engine torn down anyway when installing this kit, might as well get it all done and over with at the same time!

No, these kits re-use the stock cam chain tensioner system. If you're fitting this to a 2006+ models (and 2005+ Dynas). There are new cam chain tensioner pads included in the box, but not the complete system.
