Kuryakyn Precision Starter Cover

Adding this Chrome Starter Motor Cover to my 17 Freewheeler really brightens up a very dark section at the rear of the engine. Looks great and most important to me, looks like it was always there. I would suggest that you grab an extra set of hands which will make a quirky installation much smoother.

Should only take 10 or 20 minutes to install IF everything lines up right. Mine didn't. Had to ream out the holes so the bolts would go in and discovered that the chrome on the rear bolt wouldn't tighten up in the primary cover hole. Had to use the factory bolt to make it work. Still worth the effort. Looks great. Check the hole alignment before struggling with assembly and make sure the provided bolts will screw into the primary holes with no resistance. Wouldn't want to strip those holes. That would be an expensive uh-oh!

This is a really good looking, easy to install, perfect fit solution for hiding mirror holes in the fairing.

Very nice looking part, well made. It is a little difficult to install but worth the look.

Can be a bit tricky install, need to rethink design just a bit, looks good.

This part is very easy to install. If you remove the left side heat defuser shield it will make the install a breeze.

This cover was straight forward install. Make sure you have a 1/4" allen ball end on a socket. Once the shield is on you loose you finger room to install the back bolt. Tip! When installing the bolt tape it the allen ball driver. It will hold the bolt on long enough for you to install that bolt.
