    How does the speedometer read the mph?

    I have a 99 it reads it off a little gear that goes up by the front wheel and no electrical sensor just a mechanical gear

    Cable-driven speedometer applications, such as yours, will require a Dakota Digital Mechanical Speedometer Cable Adaptor SEN-1011 as noted in the description. With that, you can wire things up as noted in the instructions and the speedometer will function as advertised.
