Customer Reviews

M8 128 w/ Andrews 554 cam.

By Thom. on  Verified Purchaser

I did a M8 128 build and used this camshaft from Andrews. It simply performs amazingly. Need to upgrade to high-lift valve springs, but this job was easy. Several dynos and tuners use this cam and the torque is flat-lined around 160 and hp around 145. My 2018 Fatboy is now an amazing machine to ride. M8 128 with Andrews 554 cam and 2 into-1 exhaust, new lifters and adjustable pushrods, A/C, and new clutch springs.

Questions & Answers

M554 vs stock pushrods

By OR

Can i use on M8 124" big bore build Andrews M554 cam and stock solid pushrods? Hi perf valve spings i have allready.

You are able to re-use the OEM pushrods with these particular cams, provided that the big bore kit doesn't call for a different set of pushrods, of course. The most important part about re-using stock Milwaukee Eight intake and exhaust camshafts is that they are of different lengths, so be absolutely sure to get that right before putting everything back together. The shorter OEM intake pushrods have blue stripe markings while the longer exhaust pushrods have yellow stripes on them. Of course, you'll want to measure everything as outlined in your bike's service manual and however it's called for in the big bore kit you're using. Other than that, the stock rods are certainly durable enough to work with these cams.
