The gauges looks good on my bike, like that it had the air gauge for my air ride to easy install, only thing you have to take your oil sensor pressure off your bike and install the one with the gauges.

Installation was simple. Was concerned about the programming but the Koso videos on You Tube walked me through every step.

Answer QuestionGiven that the bikes these instruments fit all use CAN bus signalling, it's actually quite simple, in terms of the technology, for the oil temp gauge to pick up the signal since it's all relayed to every single component that's connected to the same harness. Basically, each sensor on the bike broadcasts its data into the wire harness and that data can be read by all other instruments on that network, but unless that instrument is programmed to pickup (read) that signal, it will just ignore it. Since the instruments are connoted to the ECU, the latter of which always receives all sensor input data, that signal is also relayed to the instruments for you to see as you ride.
