What is your fitment guarantee on "Exact Fit" products?
We guarantee hard parts marked as Exact Fit on our website will fit the vehicle you’ve selected or your money back plus free return shipping. PartsGiant works hard to provide the most up-to-date, accurate and reliable product information so you know the parts you’re ordering are exactly what you need, every time. To qualify for our fitment guarantee in the event an item does not fit the model specified, we’ll need basic information of your machine, such as the year, make, model and the VIN number. Also, any photos that you provide may be useful in helping us help you. Our fitment guarantee only applies when this information is provided. Please note, our fitment guarantee is for parts only and does not apply to apparel.
Why do you need my VIN number?
The VIN number identifies exactly what machine you’re working on and lets us know if any recalls or updates were performed that would affect product fitment. We ask for this in order to not only understand what machine it is that you have, but also to update and refine our product data. VIN numbers are a motor industry standard and provide information such as the make, model and year of your machine. This 17 character number is stamped onto the frame of all motor vehicles sold in the world. If you need help finding you VIN, just ask our friendly experts where to look.
Will a "Universal Fit" product fit my vehicle?
We do not guarantee that "Universal Fit" products will fit your vehicle. Please review the specifications of the product in relation to your vehicle carefully. Some universal parts have specific requirements (eg. a given helmet lock may only fit round 7/8” frame tubes). We do our best to relate how universal parts fit, but as always, if you’re unsure a part is right for your needs, contact our fitment experts for help.
PartsGiant has a staff dedicated to providing the most up-to-date and accurate fitment data around. In the instance you're unable to fit a part as advertised, we require a few basic pieces of information on your machine to get you back up and running as quickly as possible. These basics include:
1. A basic description of the problem at hand. Measurements may also be very helpful.
2. Make, model and year of your machine by VIN number. This provides the most accurate way to determine what machine you’re working on. In some cases, an update or recall may affect the part you’re trying to service. With this information, we can be sure of exactly what you have and the part you need.
3. Is the part being serviced completely stock? Unless otherwise noted, our fitment guarantee only applies to machines in the stock configuration.
4. In many cases, a photograph is literally worth a thousand words and may be required in some situations to get things right for your needs.
With this information, we solve the vast majority of fit problems. In the rare instance we didn’t get it right, return shipping is on us – we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label. Once our customer service team has received your returned goods, we'll get the correct part on its way to you or provide a full refund for your purchase, it's up to you.
