My wife bought me this clutch for Christmas. I installed it over the weekend and WOW, what a difference! The stock clutch with the SE diaphragm spring would slip at times from the torque my bike makes. Not only is the lever pull much more easy, NO SLIPPAGE. Install wasn't hard. Just make sure you have access to a press. The scorpion hub pressed in tougher then the stock one pressed out of the basket. This thing is American made and worth every penny!

I have an older Barnett Scorpion clutch on a early Shovelhead that's been bored, had 2nd stage cam swap and runs a S&S Super B carb out straight drag pipes. I cant imagine using a different clutch. Easy to put in, east to adjust, and it grabs and goes. Any slippage, clean the plates and you're good to go another 5000 miles at least. Definitely a life long customer.

It's good quality but unfortunately will not fit with my BDL belt primary and my belt final drive because the sprocket/pulley hits the inner primary case.

Leaps and bounds better than stock Harley clutches or any diaphragm clutch for that matter.

I'm running 235hp will this work
Yes, each clutch ships with a set of easy-to-follow instructions. And yes, it's more than up to the task of a build like yours!

It depends on what machine it is that you're working on, but I can tell you that all of these kits include, at least, everything but the clutch basket. Basically, everything that fits in the OEM clutch basket is included with this kit. Of note, some of these kits also include the clutch basket. If that's part of the kit for your bike, you'll see that in the image of the kit once you select your exact model from our fit guide.

How many clutch plates come in kit 8 or 9 and what material are the clutch disks made of there are several different materials used thank you for your time and patience I just lost a leg and need to make changes to my bike so I can continue to ride 👍
There are 9 friction plates in the Scorpion clutch kit for the 2012 Harley Davidson XL1200N Sportster 1200 Nightster. The friction material used is aramdic (that is, Kevlar) and we've found them to be extremely (EXTREMELY) durable. If you abuse the clutch lever a lot, this is the kit for you.

These kits re-use the OEM Harley-Davidson clutch basket. You get the clutch hub and clutch stack assembly, but not the outer basket. Still, if you want to go all-out, we do have a Barnett Scorpion Clutch Basket that'll go perfectly with the Scorpion clutch. Those two, together, would make for an awesome setup!

These Road Glide clutch kits are specifically engineered to be installed on machine with big bore kits, strokers, high-compression headers &etc. You should have no problem fitting this clutch to your bike as it'll easily withstand the power your engine is producing.

Yes, if you go through the vehicle selection drop down, you will be able to choose that 1987 XLH1100 and get the correct clutch to fit that bike.

So long as you check out for the correct year/model, you should have no problem installing it in your machine. I would suggest a derby cover gasket, as you would be removing it to get at the clutch.

Does it comes with the whole basket an heavy duty springs??
Yes, if you were to select the 1991 Harley Davidson XLH1200 Sportster 1200 Scorpion Clutch Kit from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct parts to fit your machine. You will find the whole clutch assembly in the box: basket, heavy-duty clutch springs and everything else you need to complete the installation along with a set of GOOD instructions.

This clutch is compatible, just be certain to select your 1982 Harley Davidson FXB Sturgis from the drop down menu. We also have standard replacement clutch plates under the "Clutches" section of our store.

Unfortunately, Barnett does not currently produce a Scorpion clutch kit to fit Buell models produced after 2002. We do have quite a few options for clutch plates both frictions and steels for the 2004 Buell XB12S Lightning in our store. Simply select your make and model in your garage and view our Motorcycle Clutches section to view the clutch parts we have to fit your ride.

Yes, Barnett Scorpion Clutch kits will indeed fit the stock 2003 Harley Davidson FXDXT Dyna Super Glide T-Sport's engine covers. Just pull the primary off, swap out the clutch components as directed and you're all set!

Once you select your exact machine from our fit guide, you'll be presented with a menu choice of "clutch" of "hydraulic" - just choose the appropriate value for your particular machine's setup and you'll be all set. We have these clutch kits available for hydraulic or mechanical-type clutches in the case of the '02 Fat Boy.

Ah yes, the spring plate that loves to ruin your day. No - it's not included in the Scorpion clutch kit. All of the Scorpion's clutch plates, friction and steel separator - are of a bespoke design to eliminate this long-running problem. Plus, since the friction surface is almost twice that of the OEM Sportster's clutch pack, you can expect a longer life out of the Scorpion before the friction surfaces wear out to the point when they'll need to be replaced.

No, the one on offer is a standard Scorpion clutch kit. The unit you're after would be the Barnett Scorpion Lock-up Clutch.

Yes, we do have a Barnett Scorpion Clutch for the 2006 Harley Road King. Just choose your machine from our fit guide (2006 FLHR Road King) and then select the hydraulic or mechanical clutch type - depending on what your machine has, and we'll get the proper FLHR aftermarket clutch kit on its way, fast!

If you were to select a 1998 thru 2006 model year Big Twin Harley (except for '06 Dyna models), you would receive 608-30-10098. As far as the friction plates themselves, according to Barnett, they're made from a combination of Kevlar and carbon fiber materials. Finally, there are two complete sets of springs included with Scorpion clutch kit 608-30-10098.

Barnett's Scorpion clutch kits come all parts required to replace the entire OEM clutch basket on the model you select from our fit guide. In addition, there's a good set of installation instructions in the box as well. There are, however, no gaskets included with the kit. To be sure you don't have any leaks once you get the job done, we recommend a Cometic EST Primary Gasket Kit as it's got everything you need to finish your work.
