Is the cylinder plating the same material as an oem 2015 yz 250 2 stroke?

Yes, this cylinder would come with a Nickel silicon carbide coating just like the OEM cylinder.
What pistons should be used with this? I have a 2013 polaris 900xp

You would want to use stock style pistons with this Cylinder Works Stock cylinder.
