Works like a charm. I bought this for it's efficiency, but it looks nice. Chrome makes the bike look different. But, I can take my pack to work with me on the rack with the bungee chords and take the bag with me, instead of putting it in my side bags and taking all things out one at a time.
You might want to have one person hold the sissy bar and rack while you put the bolts in the sissy bar holder...but that's up to you...I did it alone and was a little of a longer task, but not too bad to install.

So long as your machine is already equipped with a Cobra Sissy bar, then you should have no problem fitting this sissy bar rack to any of the machines we have listed.
That is to say, there is no hardware included with this sissy bar rack, you are to re-use the Cobra sissy bar's existing hardware to put this on your machine. The rack doesn't work with any other brand of sissy bar.

where can I buy just a mounting kit for this luggage rack that will fit my 2004 Honda 1100 Shadow nbot interested in the sissy bar

Cobra's luggage racks only fit machines that are equipped with a Cobra Sissy Bar Kit as they bolt to the side panels that are included in those kits. One thing you could consider would be to acquire the least a Cobra Mini Sissy Bar and, instead of mounting the risers for the sissy bar pad, just install the side panels, bolt the sissy bar rack to that and go on your way. You'd only need to find four M8 threaded acorn nuts to thread on the bolts that hold the luggage rack in place since the sissy bar riser is the threaded portion used to secure those bolts during a installation normal. In addition, you may also wish to find some shorter M8 bolts so they don't protrude as much on the inner-facing side of the side panels.
