Excellent product, it arrived in a short amount of time and hook up with no issues. I will certainly say after some research to anyone who runs into charging issues and needs to replace a stator or rectifier, to not be swayed by the low prices seen on other sites. You'll find that all stators and rectifiers are not created equal. This product compared to those may seem like a slightly steal price, especially when you see you can get both for the price of one rectifier, but I implore don't be fooled. You can possibly end up spending more by having to replace the cheapo in a short amount of time. This product at the very least meets OEM quality, so buy with confidence that you are getting a quality product. Please don't be like me and have to learn the hard way, especially when your mechanic is in your ear telling you to buy OEM. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing this product, get it right the first time, and enjoy those 2 wheels the way it was meant to be. Very well manufactured piece of electronic gear for the buck! Bolted right up, plenty of length on the leads, quality connectors supplied with unit as well. Combined with the optional lead set I had the retrofit done within 1.5HRS resulting in 14 volts charge signal to the battery in no time flat! Braaaaaaaaaap!

I got this for my 1982 Honda CB450SC Nighthawk. The wires are correct, though I haven't plugged it in and tested it, but I am sure it will work fine. The only problem is that it is a little wider than my OEM reg/rec, and a little thicker so it wont fit in the same place as the old one. But I got some Velcro and stuck it on rotated 90 degrees and it works fine.

I knew my old original rectifier was not really doing it's job but I ignored it and kept a charger on the battery when not in use. Then finally the old rectifier completely failed and caused a fuse to blow from the sudden voltage draw. Luckily I had only made it 10ft before it died. Ordered the Electrosport rectifier which came very quickly and once installed it cured a problem that I had worked around and lived with for one day too long.

I've only had this replacement for roughly a month but so far it is working well beyond my expectations for the price. Guaranteed you will be surprised by the substantial size difference which is the only reason why I gave it a four in the meats expectations. Due to the size difference I had to cut the cooling fins at an angle on the top of the rectifier to make it fit underneath the trim. In the process of upgrading everything as I had to learn the hard way not to purchase important electrical components on ebay. I have a lithium firepower battery, and just installed a stator from your establishment. Being my previous battery is still good , and seeing other stator state they are compatible with lithium, just wondering if I purchase this will there be any issues. Thanks
Answer QuestionYou should not have any issues using this regulator with a Lithium battery. It is only when a regulator fails and allows the battery to overcharge when you start seeing issues when used with Lithium batteries.

Answer QuestionThe V-Star 1100 Classic's regulator/rectifier is located behind the engine on the left side of the bike. If you're unsure of how to go about finding that particular unit, we can't say enough good things about Clymer Shop Manuals for the V-Star 1100. In there, you'll find all of the information you need, along with many photographs, to find the regulator and service all of the other components on that machine.
