Also I'm wondering could it be that my header is leaking so bad it's making a bad pinging noise. I'm brand new to owning a two-stroke and I'm still learning about them. But I noticed I'm getting some puffs of smoke right there where the gasket would be and also if I move the pipe the bike will change tones so I'm guessing two-stroke doesn't like running with any type of leak but if you have the gasket and springs for an FMF fatty Gold series for a 98 RM250 I would like to get that
Ah yes - two strokes are fun! If you were to choose the 1998 Suzuki RM250 from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct O-ring and springs to work with your particular setup. Provided the pipe interface is in good shape, then this should solve your leakage problem. If the pipe or the cylinder on your Suzuki are nicked or otherwise damaged, that might be the source of your leak, but as I'm sure you understand, that's impossible to ascertain without having the bike here to examine. So long as things are straight and in good shape, you should be all set with these components for your bike.
