Yes, it will work as both a fuel level and battery gauge. The included instructions will explain exactly how to wire up everything for the instruments to function. Basically, an evening in the garage and you're all set!

There is some wiring required for you to connect this gauge properly. It is clearly outlined in the included installation instructions.
i also have a 97 super glide, this fits in the center chrome section?

This LED fuel/battery gauge will only fit stock left side tank mounted gas cap. It will not fit for a center console fitted model.
