Yes, if you were to choose the 2012 Harley Davidson FXDB Dyna Street Bob air cleaner from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct kit to fit your machine. Of note, Harley dropped the I suffix starting with the 2007 model year since all their bikes were only offered with fuel injection from then on. For that reason, you will not see the FXDBI designation in our fit guide for your machine since all of those bikes are fuel-injected and also, Harley dropped that suffix in all of their literature at the same time.

It really depends on who you ask, but certainly - a stage 1 upgrade often includes an air cleaner kit such as this one.  Generally, stage 1 tunes are minor, easy-to-perform upgrades that require little more than changing out parts on your machine. Stage 2 updates are much of the same, but with the addition of minor engine updates. Stage 3 is where things can get really expensive as that typically involves machining engine parts in addition to everything else in the stage 1 and 2 types of updates. Again, there's no real hard line on what defines a stage of tuning, but I can say with confidence that an air cleaner, by itself, is certainly a stage 1 update.

The cover that goes over the air cleaner is finished in chrome. Once it's installed, the teardrop-shaped cover gives the entire air cleaner assembly a nice chrome look.
