Semi-metallic brake pads offer a pad in between both the sintered and organic brake pad compounds
All compounds of Drag Specialties brake pads are asbestos-, nickel- and lead-free
NOTE: Pads are 8mm thick.
NOTE: If you are using aftermarket billet steel rotors, it is recommended you use our Organic pads with Aramid high-performance fiber brake pads to avoid damage to them. Sintered pads are not recommended for billet steel rotors as the pad material is too aggressive for those rotors.

Do I just need one set for the rear since there's only one caliper?

That's correct. All of the motorcycle brake pads available on our website are sold per-caliper. That is to say, if you're replacing the pads in one brake caliper, you only need to buy a quantity of one to service your machine. Most certainly there's only one rear caliper on your bike, so you only need to order one set to swap out the brake pads on both sides of your machine's rear brake disc.
