Do I just need one set for the rear since there's only one caliper?

That's correct. All of the motorcycle brake pads available on our website are sold per-caliper. That is to say, if you're replacing the pads in one brake caliper, you only need to buy a quantity of one to service your machine. Most certainly there's only one rear caliper on your bike, so you only need to order one set to swap out the brake pads on both sides of your machine's rear brake disc.

You would need to purchased a quantity of two packs of pads to be able to change out both sides on the front of that 2014 FLHTCUTG Tri Glide.

Yes, Drag Specialties brake pads are designed to be of the same size and shape as the OEM Harley-Davidson brake pads they replace. They're the same thickness as brand-new stock Harley brake pads.
