A complete clutch kit with everything you need to service your motorcycle in one sitting. Every clutch kit comes pre-measured from the factory to proper OEM clutch stack height so there's no need to fuss with measuring your clutch! Aramid fiber lined friction plates are designed to last in even the most high-powered motorcycles. Coupled with pin planished steel separator plates and clutch springs (diaphragm or coil type as needed) that are 10-15% stronger than stock, EBC aramid clutch kits are superior to the stock clutch in every way.
With ever increasing power output of motorcycle engines, clutches are being subjected to ever increasing stresses. Many motorcycles are tuned to a higher horsepower after production further increasing the demands on clutches. EBC Brakes has been involved with the clutch market for over 20 years with its famous DRC series, SRC series and CK series clutches and now gives you the SRK kit; the street racer clutch kit. The SRK series includes a full engine set of lined friction plates, heavy duty clutch springs of either the coil spring or diaphragm type, together with a full engine set of steel separator plates.
A critical part for rebuilding the clutch is to get back to the exact stack height of the original assembly and merely replacing the friction plates does not often achieve this accurately, especially when separator plates have been worn. The SRK kit overcomes this problem by completely resetting the vehicles clutch stack height to OE specifications for the best feel at the lever and consistent clutch performance.
As a world first, EBC Brakes has engineered its own range of increased pressure heavy duty diaphragm clutch springs to replace tired or worn original units and these are included as part of the SRK kit. New SRK complete kits include lined friction plates, steel separator plates and springs to provide a street going kit for high performance street and road race use. Some of the kits will now feature new diaphragm springs as used in many larger new bikes to provide a complete clutch rebuild kit for every sport bike possible.

The EBC clutch fit and worked great in my 1982 Suzuki Katana. I opted to not use the heavier springs provided in the kit. Reused the oem springs. I would purchase EBC friction plates and metal plates again.

Definitely would suggest you watch a video on installing this particular clutch /model 1998 Suzuki GSF1200S. Clutch holds under full power, old clutch had 9k miles and was starting to slip during top end runs 5th gear 7K rpms+. New kit didn't feel any harder at clutch pull after install, even though company states the conical springs x2 are 10-15% stiffer than stock. Will buy again.

Be sure to put the thicker steel plate in the back against the flywheel, there are no instructions and the plate is a bit thicker but really need a caliper or mic to tell and take it a bit easy till it gets broke in and be sure to soak friction disks in oil for a couple hrs over night preferably and if you want a new gasket it is not included. As far as the clutch it has made a big difference, the stiffer springs are not that noticeable in the lever feel.

EBC clutch kits use aramid friction fibers, which is the same material, chemically speaking, as Kevlar.

EBC's springs are about 15% stiffer than the OEM units they replace. You can expect a slightly heavier pull at the lever when you grab the clutch.

All EBC clutch kits are compatible with any oil that's recommended for use in your machine's service manual. In the case of the CBR600RR you have, the Honda service oil will do just fine since that's certainly what's called for in your bike's owner's manual.

In the case of the GSX-R1000K6 (2006 model year machine), the friction plate with the smaller outside diameter goes on the outermost portion of the clutch pack as that's what sits against the pressure plate. As with any GSXR1000 clutch installation, please be sure to soak the plates in the same type of motorcycle-specific oil you're going to use in the bike before installing them so as to get the most longevity out of your new setup.

So long as the oil you're using meets the JASO specifications noted in your machine's service manual, you shouldn't have any problem using Royal Purple 20W-50 oil. The thing to remember is that, since the clutch shares the same oil as the rest of the engine - things such as friction modifiers and detergents commonly used in automobile oils will cause excessive slippage. Of course, motorcycle-specific oils don't include those types of molecules. Basically, EBC's clutch components are designed to work with whatever oils are recommended by the bike's manufacturer.

Yes, you need to soak the plates in oil before you install them in your machine. Preferably - the same type of oil that's used in the engine.

So long as you're using a motorcycle-specific oil that meets the JASO or API specifications listed in your bike's manual, you should have no problem using synthetic oil with this, or any other EBC clutch kit we sell. Basically, you need to avoid any type of oil with friction modifier detergents. It's those compounds in the oil that are incompatible with wet clutch applications.

There is no clutch cover gasket included with this kit. If you're careful when removing the stock clutch cover, you may be able to re-use the clutch cover gasket along with the installation of the EBC clutch kit we have on offer. Otherwise, we do have a Cometic Engine Case Rebuild Gasket Kit available for most late-model sport bikes.
ALWAYS spend the $7 for a new gasket ... NEVER reuse a paper type gasket and ALWAYS use the Kaw/yamadawg silicone gasket sealer as well. I'll be ordering this clutch kit in the next few days btw. Hope she holds all I've built! lol (I'm sure it will) DT Thee Diversified Tech
