The seats in question do include the driver's backrest and the rear set as well. This is due to the fact that the seats, based upon their designs, won't work with any other passenger seat on the market. Consequently, Mustang though better to design one whole kit that includes the driver and passenger seats along with a backrest.

The vast majority of Mustang Vintage Seats with Driver Backrest do include an adjustable backrest. The backrest's vertical adjustment is notched to easily snap-into-place and there's also a thumb screw that allows you to move the it forward or backwards over a two inch range. And, since the backrest pivots, it's always at a comfortable angle.
