Mustang Wide Tripper Solo Seat With Backrest Diamond Stitch Brown

All of Mustang's driver seats that are equipped with a backrest are completely adjustable up or down, back and forward and they also pivot on the post. The backrest post is notched allowing four easy "snap-in-place" height adjustment positions. There's also a chrome, knurled thumb screw that allows you to easily adjusts the tilt angle of the backrest forward or back up to 2" while you are seated. The thumb screw is also notched in a way that prevents it from falling out. Once you've done that, the backrest pivots to match your back angle.

Unfortunately, Mustang doesn't produce this particular seat to fit the 1999 Springer Softail. We do have two solo seat options available to fit that particular bike. They are the FXSTS Mustang Vintage Wide Touring Solo Seat with Backrest and the Harley 1999 Springer Softail Mustang Wide Touring Solo Seat with Backrest. Both of those are similar to the Wide Tripper sol seat, but are specifically designed to fit the Springer Softail's chassis.

Yes, that's correct. This Mustang Wide Tripper Solo seat for the 2005 Harley Softail FLSTF is attached to the bike using the two side-mount holes. It's designed to attach to your bike in the same way as the OEM seat it's replacing.

For Mustang's Wide Tripper Solo Seats that are equipped with a backrest, when you pull the backrest off, there's a flap that covers the hole left behind. The flap itself doesn't fit flush, so there is a noticeable rectangle where the backrest receiver is located.

Unless otherwise noted in the description, all required mounting is included with every Mustang seat we sell. In some cases, you will need to re-use some of the OEM seat mounting hardware. So long as you still have the stock seat with your machine, you should have no problem installing this, or any other Mustang seat we sell.
