In the case of the Mustang Regal Duke Seat for the 2016 883 Sportster Iron, there won't be a gap between the tank and the seat. This is due to the fact that the bike ships from the factory with a 3.3 gallon tank. Sportsters with the smaller 2.1 gallon tank will indeed have a gap between the seat and the aft section of the tank.
