True Dual systems are designed to deliver optimal torque and power while increasing the stock bike's rideability right in the sweet spot of the torque curve.
True Dual exhaust systems are built with maximum performance and aggressive custom looks in mind. This system features mandrel bent steel tubing, specially tuned mufflers with machined aluminum billet tips to complete an almost custom installation for an aggressive performance look and sound.
Increases the performance over the stock machine while also dropping more than a few unwanted pounds. Complete with heat shields that do not turn blue, this system is a vast improvement over stock. Mufflers have proprietary technology to prevent bluing, and the highly polished billet tips are the stylish finish to its top quality muffler body.

Installation was as expected per instructions from Cobra, no surprises. Removing the old exhaust and installing the new Cobra pipes took about 3 hours. Best part of the deal is the bike sounds awesome, massive improvement and performance! (I also installed the Cobra Fi2000 Digital Fuel Processor a few days later.) The difference in the bike is like day and night, if your thinking about don’t delay, it’s worth every penny!

Once these pipes went on my Nomad it was a whole new ride. When installed together with the fuel management system the ride is altogether different. Better low-end torque, smoother shifting. I recommend this exhaust.

Easy installation, completed in about 3 hours, without help. Deep throaty sound, at a reasonable decibel. Adds a touch of class to the 2002 Heritage Classic. Would recommend to anyone looking for true duals without the hugh cost.

Yes, there is indeed a coil relocation bracket included with this exhaust. The same holds true for the exhaust brackets - everything you need comes in the box. There's no need to purchase any additional hardware to fit these pipes to your machine.

2004 nomad 1500 fi. Do I just need the fuel controller with the exhaust, or do I have to find a whole new air cleaner kit as well?
There's no need to add an air cleaner kit in order to install this, or any other exhaust system on a Vulcan 1500 Nomad. A good air filter, such as a K&N Air Filter which fits in place of the stock filter element might help a bit, but most of the performance is going to come from the new exhaust since it's much less restrictive than the OEM system you're replacing. The exhaust with a tuner should be enough for a noticeable difference in terms of engine performance and throttle response.

01 Vulcan 1500 L f.i. will come with new brackets that bolt to hard bags and does it come with cross over pipe as well
There are no exhaust brackets included with this kit since it re-uses the OEM exhaust mounting components to complete the installation. There are some clamps in the box which do, for example, bolt to the OEM hardbag bottom rail supports, but other than that, not much other than the pipes and heat shields are in the box. Given that the exhaust is of a true-dual design, there is no crossover pipe. Each cylinder has its own exhaust pipe and they're not connected even though it does look like that in the picture. It's just that the heat shields come together at that point.

I would suggest getting a jet kit to get the correct fueling needed for this more freely flowing exhaust. You can search Dynojet Stage 1 Carburetor Jet Kit Kawasaki VN1500G Vulcan 1500 Nomad 1999-2001 to find the kit we have available for that bike.

If your machine is equipped with a stock exhaust system, then yes - you'll need to adjust fuel delivery in order to install this exhaust system on your machine. For Cobra exhausts, we recommend the Fi2000R fuel tuner as it's simple to install and configure. And since it's developed to work with Cobra's exhausts, the baseline setting is pretty close to what you'll need. Best of all, it requires no trip to the dyno, just plug it in, adjust the three dials as indicated in the instructions, and you're all set!

Each side of the True Duals exhaust exits a little behind the rear wheel on the bikes it's listed to fit.

As far as Kawasaki models, these pipes will only fit on the VN1500 and VN1600 Nomads, the will not fit the Classic, Drifter, Mean Streak or any other Vulcan model outside of the Nomad.

Looking to add a fuel tuner that has O2 sensors. Do these pipes come with bungs welded in for O2 sensors?
It all depends on what model year you have, Cobra includes the appropriate sized bungs in the stock location on motorcycles that originally had them. The 1987-2006 Softails will not have any bungs as they were not originally equipped. 07-11 with have 18 mm bungs. The 2012-2017 will have 12 mm stock. If you are using a tuner with a wide band 18 mm oxygen sensors, you would have to select the appropriate pipe for your needs. The bend is the same 2007-2017 only the bungs changed.

For Kawasaki Nomad true duals exhaust systems from Cobra, the main difference is the ends of the muffler bodies. On the billet tip system, each 4 inch diameter muffler is capped off using machined aluminum tips. The Cobra True Duals Slashdown Exhaust System uses the same header design, but the muffler bodies are steel from the inlets all the way to the tips, which of course, are cut at an angle. There's no aluminum end caps on those. Other than that, the headers on those exhausts are of the same design.
