2nd pair of these grips on my 07 FLHX. 1st ones have about 30k and the texturing wore smooth. These being the update version not needing glue on the left I was impressed how solid it fits with no slip.

Do they require adhesive for the clutch side and does the set come with adhesive

It depends on what machine it is that you have. For Harley-Davidson motorcycles, no you won't need any adhesive to fit these grips into place. The clutch-side grip fits into a grove in the housing on that handlebar negating the need for glue. For most other machine, yes, you'll need to use grip glue to reliably fix these into place.
