As far as fit, the mounting holes had to be filed a little to fit the stock mounting studs on my '78 Sportster- not bad- it did not fit onto the studs as received. Once mounted, and generator polarized, it works very well so far. It's November here in Michigan, so not a lot of miles on since getting the charging system working.
This part matches the look of the stock voltage regulator that the bike came with. Connections fit good.
