Riser fitment

Does the cable fit go off of the stock riser for the bike that you put into the website? For example, I put in my 09 sportster 1200xl. I'm putting two inch risers on instead of the stock 6in. So for 16in bars with 2 inch risers I would go with the cables for the 12" apes?
These cable kits are listed in lengths that assume you're using the remaining OEM components - that is to say, only changing the handlebars. So, if you're putting on riders that are of a different height, you'll need to take that into consideration when order as you have noted in your query.
