Get it. Ive been having a hard time with getting my 2006 sportster with 1250 kit, cams. Etc... was on the fence about trying this carb... wish I had got it sooner. Bike is running better than ever. Easy to install, had dial it in a bit to get it to work on my bike, but wasn't hard, instruction are very clear. Got here fast, just get it. Your bike will run better than ever. Response is instant. I'm happy.

Great deal, was pretty much plug and play, couple of minor adjustments and it's working great.

I have a 2000 Fatboy that was all stock. I replaced the CV carb last year and had nothing but issues after replacing it. After installing the Mikuni HSR42 Carb easy kit, my bike is running amazing! Very easy to install, made very small idle adjustments and right back on the road. It has the quickest throttle response of any carb I've used! Very happy with my purchase!

This carb setup really improved the performance and reliability of my 1999 Heritage Softail. I received the carb along with the air cleaner adapter and spare jets. You can't ask for more!

So far, so good, definitely a noticeable difference, not drag racing but noticeable. Easy install on "93 EG" Still tuning the right sweet spot! The air cleaner adapter can be a little mind teaser.

Easy install and a phenomenal performance upgrade. Crisp throttle with instantaneous response. Don't even consider other carbs, this us the one to get.

Great performance out of the box. Did a little research and fumbled upon Joe Mintons settings. Followed them to the letter! The old girl runs like a champ. Instant throttle response. More power than ever. The bike just seems happy. Definitely 5 stars.

The carb did what I thought it would and should.

After using this unit for some time, I'm able to say it has worked perfectly, fit as expected, was tuned out of the box, and simple to install.

I had 3 minor issues, but I'm very pleased with the HSR42. 1) Instructions said V.O.E.S. Switch must be relocated behind horn for carb to fit. This wasn't mentioned in ad. I found an easier way by removing the mounting bracket from the VOES switch, connecting it to the carb with a 1 1/2" piece of hose. It just floats above the carb vacuum fitting. I didn't have to disturb any wiring. 2) Ad said Sportster choke cable would work. It does, but it's too long. About 4" shorter would be ideal. On the CV carb the cable comes out of the carb toward the rear of the bike. The HSR connects on the side toward the front, putting it closer to the knob mounting point. 3) Sportsters use 1/4" ID fuel line. The HSR carb sent me has a 5/16" ID fuel inlet. This caused a trip to the hardware store to get a 5/16 to 1/4 barbed reducer. No problem, except now I have 4 connections in my fuel line instead of 2. The good part is that once hooked up the bike fired right up, and ran better than ever. The HSR was tuned good enough for me right out of the box.

Highly recommended, did zero tuning on this carb and slapped it on my bike right out of the box and it's running amazing.

This is a terrific carb for your old H-D. With the tuning kit, you can dial the carb in to meet your specific needs, whether that's higher MPG for touring, or higher HP. Really great carb. Lifesaver!

Put the HSR 42, 42-11 Easy Kit onto my 2000 Buell M2. Easy installation, quality product. Jetting out of the box was near spot-on. Crisp throttle response and a lot of fun to ride. Feels like more power. Good product. These are the guys to buy from!

Sick of messing around with my cruddy old carb. This thing with a little tuning really opened my hog up! Only complaint is the long idle cable, other than that highly recommend!
