Genuine ohlins stabilizer with kit, bought it for my 2022 zx6r and works great. Putting it on was a little challenging since the ohlins installation pamphlet isn't the best, but 2-3 YouTube videos and you'll be good. Definitely a must for anything over 600ccs. Glad I made the purchase, ride safe yall.

Can it be installed as a direct replacement to the oem damper? Or will it need to be installed in a new location?

I have a 2005 Yamaha R1 , it has an oem damper in the front lower part of the triple tree, can this product directly replace the oem one and also be installed in the original location of the oem damper?
Yes, that's correct. Ohlins' steering damper for the 2005 YZF-R1 fits in the same place as the OEM unit it replaces, right below the triple clamp.
I have a 2009 Ducati 848. Does this damper require any drilling to install?

There's no need to drill anything in order to install this damper on the 848. It fits in place of the stock unit without issue. You simply us the hardware and brackets included in the kit to complete the installation.
