V-Thunder Xtreme Energy Camshaft

Most cam designers concentrate on getting the most power in a particular RPM range and disregard valve train clatter and powerband. The designers at V-Thunder pay particular attention to ramp design to keep their cams as quiet as possible and design lobes to maintain as wide a powerband as possible.

V-Thunder cams are made from 6150 aircraft quality steel for ultimate durability and resistance to premature cam failure from metal fatigue. Heat-treated steel allows these cams to provide a case depth for long term use under extreme loads. With the aid of computer controlled machining centers, V-Thunder cams are held to extremely precise tolerances.

I have a 87 evolution kick only ...Would this be a good kick start cam for easier starts?? I run an S&D shorty E and a HI 4 ignition system.

Every cam we have is going to be more difficult to kick over than the OEM unit it replaces. This is a function of the fact that it's going to have a bumpier profile than stock. That said, of the options we have for Evos, this is probably going to be one of the better choices since the valve rise is slower on it than most other Evo cams on the market. So, if you've gotta have a better cam for your bike even though you're running a kicker, this one would be a good option.
