Legend REVO Heavy-Duty Shocks 13"

On Trikes, Legend recommends heavy-duty springs if the added weight consistently exceeds 500 pounds. So, for your needs, the standard length and standard rate shocks would work best for your needs. I think you'll find the ride really nice once you've got these shocks installed, too!

No matter what, you're always going to sacrifice something in the way of comfort when going with really short shocks, like the Burly Slammers you have on your machine. Those shocks, while they're nice, may not have the best valving - and that's what really makes the difference in terms of feel. In other words, quality valving can make up for some, but not all, loss of suspension travel. With these REVO shocks, the shortest available are 12" - which is 1.5" longer than the Slammers on the FXDL. So, from the comfort side, you're going to see a big improvement, but it might be too tall for your needs. Another option would be to visit your preferred shop and see if their technician can re-valve the Slammer shocks to be a little less harsh. Like I said initially, valving can make a big difference, so that might be the route you can take.

Based on your weight, you would want to stay with the standard duty shocks.
