Questions & Answers

Do these grips fit with the OEM throttle housing for a 1999 Yamaha RoadStar 1600

I'm having to order a new house and need to know what's actually going to fit these grips cuz now my bike is down even longer till I get it fixed...

es, if you were to select the 1999 Yamaha Road Star 1600 heated grips from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct parts to fit the OEM Yamaha throttle housing. You won't have any trouble putting the grips on your bike.

Figment Guide/Manual

Hi. Will be putting these on my 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. Is there a guide or manual I can reference to help me through the process? Thanks.

The grips come with a set of instructions that offer a pretty descriptive guide on how to go about wiring up the grip, including a schematic diagram. If you're comfortable with minor/basic electrical work and you can do an oil change/battery change on your bike, then you won't have any problems adding these heated grips to your Vulcan. It takes simple hand tools and maybe an evening or two in the garage, with most of that time spent, we think, removing the tank/bodywork to make way for the wire leads to/from the grips and battery compartment. To help with getting it right, and if you don't have already have a service manual for your machine, we recommend you add a Clymer Shop Repair Manual just so you have instant access to all the data you need to wire this up correctly the first time around.
