Everything was plug and play with no hiccups. The only reason for less than 5 star quality was due to the detent aligning switch assembly into the dash panel causes it to be clocked slightly different than the original switch.... over all, very minor issue and would recommend the switch to anyone wanting a performance replacement switch at a fraction of the OEM price.

So long as your machine has an unmodified OEM ignition switch, if you were to select the 1999 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4 from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct switch to fit your machine. It's designed to be a plug-and-play replacement for the original Polaris ignition switch.
