By Mike S. on  Verified Purchaser

Great shocks without breaking the bank.

By Chuck on  Verified Purchaser

Highly recommend for dynas extremely happy with them ride is nice easy to adjust would purchase again

Exactly as expected

By Adam P. on  Verified Purchaser

Purchased for a 2017 Harley ultra limited because I am short. The shocks were installed and adjusted to be about 1 inch shorter than stock. They functioned exactly as expected. The motorcycle seat height is about 1.5 inches shorter enabling me to flat foot while sitting on the bike. Extremely happy with the result.

Shocks

By Harry K. on  Verified Purchaser

I received the coilover shocks without any damage. They look very nice, but I am not ready to install them on my build yet, I think they will work very well.

Drag Specialties Adjustable Shocks

By Scotty S. on  Verified Purchaser

Fit perfect definitely don't scrape the ground as bad in the mountains...and added some bling to bike too!

Best money I've spent

By Jeremy C. on

Best money I've spent in awhile! I'm extremely satisfied with the shocks and glad I didn't spend the $1200 on legends.

Best bang for your buck

By Edgar D. on  Verified Purchaser

Best bang for your buck! You can adjust them to 14" , gives you that gap!

Adjustable shocks

By Dan A. on  Verified Purchaser

These are pretty nice shocks! Love that I can adjust height and load. Haven't had them on road yet but they look good on bike.

Very happy with coil over shocks

By Kevin C. on  Verified Purchaser

I never was sold on Harley air shocks. I bought this bike with 1600 miles a few weeks ago changed them immediately. Very happy with coil over shocks.

Shocks

By Luigi on  Verified Purchaser

Nice shocks for the money. Much better than stock. Fit was perfect on my 17 wideglide.

Good inexpensive shocks

By Darryl G. on

I was tired of pumping up the factory air shocks on my 2012 FLHX so I bought the 12" version and set the height at 12.5" and 6.625" on the springs. I also installed a 2" lowering kit and my bike rides much better now and has no issues.

Could compete with the higher end expensive shocks..

By Mark W. on  Verified Purchaser

Had a blown out stock (Factory) shock and bought the Drags. For the pocket savings, well worth the purchase and lots of saved money! Mostly if you want a comfortable ride you'll pay more for a name and have same riding comfort.

Hotcha...Goot shocks

By daniel p. on  Verified Purchaser

Mine wuz chrome...shiny mon! Squishy feel. Goot shocks mon. {my Mama likes em too mon.}

Happy so far.

By William S. on  Verified Purchaser

Great shocks for the money. Way better than the worn out stock shocks on my FXRS. No more bottoming out and a good ride. Would recommend them to a friend. If you don't want to spend 1000 dollars on shocks give these a try.

Questions & Answers

If i occasionally ride 2 up total weight 360 should I buy standard or heavy shocks also if im looking for 11.5 in length should i buy 12 or 11 in length?

By Anon.

For spring rate - that depends on what you weigh yourself - heavy-duty springs are best suited for solo riders over 220 lbs. As to length - I'd recommend you go with the longer shocks and then shorten them to the length you want. You'll probably find that the having the ability to add length for extended trips to be a nice touch.

By Tom

I have a 2005 FLHRCI. I weigh 185. I want to lower the rear 1 1/2 inches. What length should I consider. Also, will this negatively effect the handling of my bike?

By Anon.

The stock shocks on 2005 Harley Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic measure 13" when fully extended. So, you'll want to the 12" shocks and then adjust them to their shortest lengths. With regard to handling, no it won't make it worse, just a little different. You may find the bike steers a little bit more slowly. Ride quality, however, will be way improved since these shocks have valving that is waaay better than stock. I'm confident you'll be glad you got these on as an upgrade!

By Tom

Hi can i make 1/2" short?

By Anon.

Yes, these shocks can be adjusted 1/2" longer or shorter than the length specified on our website for your machine.

By Tom

I bought a 2022 Street glide and hate the ride vs my 2010 ultra. I weigh 240 never passenger. Heard that sportster shocks could give me a much better ride. What do you suggest .

By Rick

I've never heard of Sportster shocks being used on the newer Street Glides, but nothing surprises me these days! The problem with the newer bikes is the shocks' internals have gotten worse, as you've noticed. That, and you're on the upper end of the range for which the suspension on these bikes are developed certainly contributes to the feel that you don't like. Your best bet would be a set of heavy-duty shock springs since those, ideally, need to be matched to your weight. The heavy-duty shock springs we use are ideal for riders 220 lbs. and up. To my point on the OEM shocks' internals, these Drag Specialties items have better internal valving when compared to the OEM units, so you'll get a better ride quality overall, especially when the spring rate is matched to your needs. I'm confident you'll find the rear end of the bike feels much better when using these shocks with a heavy duty spring rate. If you're looking to retain stock ride height, you'll want to order shocks that are 12" long since that's what was installed on the bike when it rolled off the assembly line.

What is the weight for the standard and the heavy duty

By Mark D.

It really depends on your loadout and weight. Heavy-duty springs are best suited for solo riders over 220lbs. If you ride two-up and/or with a full load of luggage at least 50% of the time, heavy-duty shocks are also recommended. Otherwise, choose standard-rate springs.

By Tom

Will these fit and work well on a 2005 Dyna FXDC

By TC

I know they'll mount but how will the spring rate feel on a dyna?

If your shocks are OEM and/or have never been served, you'll find these shocks to be a great improvement in ride quality. The internal valving is much-improved when compared to stock so they tend to provide a smoother but better feel for the road. They're actually pretty nice. The most important thing is to get the spring rate correct for your needs. Generally speaking, if you're over 250 lbs. and ride solo most of the time, if you ride two-up at least 50% of the time, you'll want to choose the heavy-duty spring rate. Otherwise, go for standard rate springs.
