Feuling complete camchest kits include all necessary components from top to bottom of the camchest conveniently packaged in one kit. This combination not only ensure each individual part is designed to work and function together but to do so in total harmony. It takes the guess work out of the ordering process and guarantees the engine builder maximum reliability, peak performance and the coolest engine and oil temperatures obtainable.

  • 25-35 degree cooler engine temperatures
  • 15-30 degree cooler oil temperatures

543 Cams:

  • Excellent bolt in camshaft for stock to mild 96 and 103 engines and works well in 88 & 95 engines
  • This cam is easy starting, increases throttle response and fuel mileage
  • Responds well to increased compression ratio, performance exhaust and a high flow air cleaner
  • Biggest power increase over the 1,900 - 6,000 RPM range

Would this be a good cam for a mostly stock 103

I am actually looking for a bit of quickness on the bike, especially passing trucks and such. All of my crew are running 117 engines.

Anything, and I really mean that - anything when it comes to cams, is going to be better than stock. Caveat emptor, of course, provided your bike's fuel delivery is updated to suit the revised cam profile. The 543 is a highway-cruiser's ideal cam in that it's focused mostly on delivering extra power at higher RPMs. So, for getting past trucks and such, this would certainly be a sound choice.
