Bought my CRF450R new in 07' she was a ripper for many years but when she started getting hard to start I started looking into top-end kits... Well she is a fresh ripper, be careful not to loop it! Was such a slow fade I couldn't tell I was down on power with the fresh top end I've got all the power! Only thing I can say is that it is a bummer that this kit does not come with valve keepers. Overall great quality went together well and the bike rips, my local shop quoted me $1200 I got it done over a weekend and saved $800. Great Kit!

Do I need to upgrade the crank shaft to have this work?

These top end kits are designed to work with all of the remaining OEM parts on any machine that you select from our fit guide. So long as the crank in your machine is in good condition, then you won't have any problems using it along with this top end service kit from Kibblewhite.
If replacing OEM valves can I just lap the valves and go or do I have to have my valve seats cut.

Provided the valve seats on your machine are within spec, you won't need to have them cut in order to work with these valves - a proper lapping is all that's required. That's because these valves are designed to fit heads that meet OEM tolerances as called out in your machine's service manual.
What is the compression ratio?

What is the compression ratio on the piston? Is it stock? 2006 Crf 450x?
All of these kits are designed to retain the OEM compression ratio. In the case of the 2006 CRF450X, that would be 12.0:1.
im buying this for my 2005 trx450R is there anything i need to do to the head or is it just plug and play and do i need to rejet my carb

Provided the head is in good condition, there's no modification required to fit this to your machine since it's a high-quality replacement for the OEM components.
With regard to jetting, that depends - if that TRX runs well after you put this on, then obviously, don't mess with it. But if you do have an older machine and the carb hasn't been touched in ages, the carb could probably use a good cleaning. That should solve most of your problem.

No, there's no machining required in order to fit this kit in a 2005 Honda CRF450X. It bolts straight in place of all the OEM components.

So long as the keepers you removed are in good condition, you should have no problem reusing them.
Does it come with retainer keys? I don't see any in the picture or parts list.

These kits do not include the retainer keys. You would need to reuse the originals or purchase new separately.
