Had to do remove cooler from mounting plate and do a little grinding on mounting plate to clear front engine mount but that can be expected. Looks great. Not hot enough to kick on yet but with test plug blows some air. Installed Flo oil filter also as recommended.

High quality piece of kit. The included instructions were adequate but a video would've been more useful. Well packaged and high quality parts. If you live anywhere that gets hot out or you have a bike that is well above stock this is a must-do addition. The way the oil is cooled down AFTER it's been filtered unlike the stock method is worth its weight by itself. The fans are icing on the cake. The LED that I mounted on the controls is great and bright.

Yes, if you were to choose the 2007 Harley Davidson FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide oil cooler from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct components to fit your machine. Harley-Davidson actually dropped the I suffix from their fuel-injected bikes for the 2007 model year since everything they built went to a fuel-injected engine. It's for that reason you don't see an I suffix on any HD model in our fit guide for 2007+ machines.

No, these oil cooler kits do not replace the oil pump itself, and therefore, do not increase oil pressure. They simply provide a nice radiator through which oil temperatures can be quickly reduced while moving oil through the motor in the usual manner. If you want to increase oil pressure, you'll need something like a Drag Specialties High-Performance High-Volume Oil Pump, Feuling HP+ Oil Pump or S&S Oil Pump, depending on your particular application. Combined with the UltraCool oil cooler, you'd probably have a solid-running and well-lubricated motor under your control.

Looks like it should not be a problem to mount this kit on your 2005 FLHTC with engine guards. It will be mounting down low under the regulator which should be plenty far out of the way of any engine bars.
