Great product, but I am building an iron head sportster with the back of the motor off and welded back a rear motor mount and now I have a 5 speed softail transmission behind a 4 cam sportster motor and electric start. Three inch belt drive is the best looking way to connect the two

There are no adjustments to these drives as the motor plate prevents this from happening. If your belt is too loose, then it's time to, first, check the condition of both pulleys, and if those check out, then order a replacement belt. Such is life for those of us that own a belt drive system. They're indeed way cool, though they do require a different kind of attention to get the most out of 'em!

That depends one the belt width it is that you choose. If you're going with the 1-5/8" design, then yes, the OEM primary cover, or any aftermarket primary cover that fits in place of the OEM unit - will fit without issue. It's the 3" wide variant in which you will not be able to use the stock primary cover. There simply isn't enough room for the belt, clutch and pulley to fit.

BDL belt drives kits with the lock-up clutch are specifically engineered for use with high-output applications, including 120 CI V-twin engines. The lock-up clutch itself provides an extra-positive clutch engagement to see to it that all that extra power makes it way to the rear wheel in the most efficient manner possible. Yes, you can install this kit with confidence.

Some assembly and adjustment of the clutch is required to complete the installation, but it's not difficult if you're comfortable with installing a whole belt drive. The included instructions include all the information you need to set up the ball bearing clutch correctly. So long as you follow those guidelines, you'll have no problem getting this to work for your needs.
