how well does this work with Maryland tag and do you offer a black frame with this holder?

Custom Dynamics License Plate Relocation Mount Black Item: 393190-27747077

Provided you're using a standard motorcycle-sized license plate (have to say that, some people try to affix a car license plate to these!), you shouldn't have any problem fitting it on this kit. A good license plate frame to fit would be the Custom Dynamics Radius LED License Plate Frame and those are available in black.
