The PowrPro Black Fuel Tuner is only suitable for machines equipped with a full exhaust system and/or air intake kit. This tuner is not suitable for use on stock motorcycles or even bikes with a slip-on exhaust.
An improved version of the original PowrPro fuel tuner, uses the latest accelerometer enabled software for precise real-time tuning. The tuner uses faster smart chip and accelerometer technology to continuously read the bike's EFI delivery every time the motorcycle accelerates in order to optimize the air/fuel mixture for the best performance. With patent-pending Continuously Variable Tuning (CVT)technology, the PowerPro Black makes motorcycle fuel-injection tuning a snap with the option for fine-tuning non-acceleration fuel via Bluetooth technology and a smart phone-based app.
Should you need to adjust your bike's air/fuel ratio outside of the acceleration area, you can do that with your smart device. Simply go to your app store and search for the Power Pro Black app. Simple instructions on the app will guide you through the available tuning options.
Through the PowrPro Black app you will be able to:
Monitor the injector duty cycle to determine fuel injector performance
Add fuel for specific engine modifications tuning the low RPM and cruising fuel zones
Evaluate and monitor how much fuel the unit adds in specific tuning zones with a circular graph as well as light across the bottom of the screen
Take fuel away for specific tuning requirements
View RPM in real time
Simple reset tools allows you to return the unit to its stock settings
Advancements in circuit boards and accelerometers have made it possible to do things today not possible just a few years ago in the art and science of controlling fuel mixture through remote adjustments.
Older so-called auto-tune systems rely on O2 sensors that must be installed in the exhaust to adjust the air/fuel ratio according to a preset map, but varying conditions can render that EFI mapping less than ideal. And regardless of how many dyno runs you perform, you always end up with only one EFI map which may not provide the optimum setting for the way you'll be riding tomorrow, next month or next year.
Unlike other systems, PowrPro Black offers plug-in performance: no bungs, no oxygen sensors, no computer hook-ups or downloads, no sorting through a bewildering array of EFI maps to find one that's just right. Just added Cobra Power Pro True duals, Neighbor Haters Gen 2 Slip ons and this tuner! Tuner install was Easy (all though video I watched guy doing the install has super tiny hands...LOL) It really is plug and play! In the first half mile under 1st acceleration and then again leaving my neighborhood with even greater acceleration a got a pop each time. After that it had adjusted and 20 miles and counting no matter what I do throttle wise it's Flawless! My 2014 Ultra Limited is a New Ride!

It works, its a good tuner for dummies and you can tune it up caveman style, but to get proper air to fuel ratios its probably not the best choice on the market.

will it work for my application

i am eliminating the crossover pipe to make it true duals on my 07 electra glide ultra classic. i am keeping the stock 02 sensors. will this tuner work or do i need to make my own adjustments or is it plug and play
This tuner would most certainly work for your needs. It's quite at home on bikes with a fully aftermarket exhaust system and it does employ the OEM oxygen sensor data to help build proper maps for your bike. You'll want to make some adjustments using the free smartphone app to get those most out of your bike, but getting that configuration right isn't difficult at all.
I just installed new Cobra speedster slashdowns on my vulcan 900. Will this eliminate the popping?

08 Vulcan 900 Classic LT with new Cobra speedster slashdown exhaust and factory air box. It has a dynapro commander 3 controller on it that's old and I'm not sure how to make the proper adjustments for it. It has a little "occasional" pop with neutral revving and down shifting. Will this eliminate that, and will it improve my fuel mileage? It's only getting around 22mpg with the commander unit.
It could certainly help, with regard to popping at least. Though you may want to check to be sure that the exhaust is completely sealed from tip to tail since oxygen entering the exhaust from the atmosphere can ignite any unburnt fuel and cause the backfire you've noticed. With regard to mileage, if anything, this will decrease fuel mileage when compared to stock since this Speedsters require more fuel for the engine to run correctly with that exhaust installed.That holds true for pretty much every aftermarket exhaust on the market; almost all of them require more fuel in order for your engine to take advantage of the improved exhaust flow.
