Made to lower bike and ride good for 10.5 inch shock

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Shocks are awesome they lower your bike so you need to adjust to the roads you are riding. Two inches of travel instead of 4. I had regular burly 10.5 these are definitely better than them for ride comfort. Shocks are 11.5 inches then red spring compression when you put weight on them lowering bike to 10.5 inches with two inches of travel instead of one from standard 10.5 burley. Best shock if you want to lower your bike.

Good quality

Good quality shock, not sure what the purpose of the little red helper spring is, as it completely compresses as soon as it came off the jack, either way, good ride quality, and handling.

Questions & Answers

I have a 2017 RGS fltrxs. How much will these shocks lower the rear? Will I need a shorter jiffy stand?

I have stock single side hand adjust on it now.

The OEM Road Glide Special shocks measure 12" long, so you can expect a little over a 1.5" lowered rear end with these shocks installed. As far as the sidestand goes, usually, that's not required if you're leaving the front end stock. Now, if you were to lower the front end as well, then you'd certainly want to get a shorter jiffy to go with with it.
